Ambassador McMullen has built a distinguished career advising clients nationally and internationally. His expertise lies in guiding economic development initiatives and facilitating foreign direct investment (FDI), leveraging an extensive background in public affairs and government relations, particularly within the energy and healthcare sectors.

From November 2017 to January 2021, Ambassador McMullen served as the U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He was widely recognized for cultivating the strongest bilateral relationship in U.S.-Swiss history. Through dedicated outreach, he met with over 300 CEOs and board chairs across Switzerland and Liechtenstein, contributing to Switzerland advancing from the eighth to the sixth-largest foreign direct investor in the U.S. He is a frequent guest of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
