Abbert Capital Strengthens Client Focus: Welcomes Ken Manget to Lead Client Advisory

Houston, TX – February 4, 2025 – Abbert Capital is pleased to announce that Ken Manget has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. In this role, Ken will focus on deepening client relationships and delivering strategic, insightful advice tailored to their unique needs and objectives.

Ken brings a wealth of experience from senior leadership roles across the investment management and investment banking landscape. Most notably, he served as Global Head, Relationship Investing at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP) from 2014 to 2019. There, he managed global teams based in Hong Kong, London, and Toronto, overseeing a diverse portfolio encompassing pre-IPO, public, and private equity investments. His focus on building long-term, strategic partnerships provides an ideal foundation for leading Abbert Capital’s client-centric advisory approach.

Prior to his time at OTPP, Ken was the President & Chief Executive Officer at Desjardins Securities International, Inc. (2010-2014) and Head of Investment Banking at Desjardins Securities, Inc. (2009-2014). This blend of CEO-level leadership, investment banking expertise, and direct investing experience gives him a comprehensive perspective on the financial markets and the strategic challenges facing clients.

Beyond his executive roles, Ken has demonstrated a strong commitment to community and governance through his board service with organizations including St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, the Stroke Foundation of New Zealand, Inc., and OrganiGram Holdings, Inc.

Ken holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
